Sebulon 'Axue' Gomachab Born In Windhoek 1969-2019 Was A Notable Namibian Guitarist And Singer. The Son Of A Skilled Guitar Player Axue Built His First Instrument Known As A Ramkie From A Five Litre Oil Can With Fishing Wire For Strings. Expelled From School Axue Gained A Reputation Playing His Ramkie Around His Boyhood Town And At The Nearby Martin Luther High School Which Was A Hotbed Of Musical Talent. In 1991 After Playing With Various Local Bands Axue Joined Mukorob With Reknowned Band Leader Jackson Kaujeua But Axue Didn't Gain Broader Notoriety Until The Release Of His First Big Hit !Uri-Piris In 1997 Which Won The Shell Road To Fame Competition In South Africa And Became Hugely Popular Amongst Listeners Of Damara Punch Music. In 2006 Axue Released The Album Pride Of Khomas Which Saw Him Become A Household Name In His Home Country. At The 2018 NAMA Music Awards Axue Was Recognised With A Lifetime Achievement Award. Sebulon "Axue" Gomachab Died Of A Heart Attack On 16th December 2019.
