Abel Tesfaye (* 16. Februar 1990 in Toronto, Ontario) ist ein unter seinem Künstlernamen The Weeknd bekannter kanadischer R&B-Singer-Songwriter.
Bekannt wurde er durch seine Zusammenarbeit mit dem ebenfalls aus Toronto stammenden Rapper Drake und seine Veröffentlichungen auf der Video-Plattform YouTube. Am 21. März 2011 veröffentlichte Tesfaye sein erstes Mixtape »House of Balloons« auf seiner Website zum kostenlosen Download. Am 18. August 2011 erschien das zweite »Thursday«.

The title of the track is a reference to the success of Abel as a "Starboy", who happens to need a superwoman to complete him. However, the lyrics are mysterious in nature and Del Rey starts off low and ends high, The Weeknd closing off the 2-minute interlude.
